Every visitor needs a ticket, and timed advance reservations are strongly recommended because the included buildings vary by ticket. Metro Center and Gallery Place are nearby; street parking is limited and the closest garage connects to the lobby by elevator. Arrive 20–30 minutes before a performance.

Accessibility

Elevators connect the lobby, museum, balcony, parking garage, Petersen House, and Aftermath Exhibits, though historic door widths vary. Accessible seating is in the rear orchestra and balcony. Services include listening devices, captions, audio description, ASL, Braille and large-print programs, sensory kits, sensory-friendly performances, and loaner wheelchairs.

About Ford's Theatre

Ford's Theatre is a working professional theater and National Historic Site interpreting Abraham Lincoln’s presidency, assassination, and legacy. The campus includes the historic theater and museum, Petersen House, Aftermath Exhibits, education facilities, tours, and a mainstage season.

Food is not allowed in the theater; only bottled water may enter the museum and historic theater.
