The main entrance is near Wisconsin Avenue and Van Ness Street, about 0.4 miles from Tenleytown–AU Metro. The monitored underground garage enters from Van Ness Street and operates around performances. The theater box office opens one hour before shows; advance tickets are available online.
Accessibility
The building, stage, orchestra pit, dressing rooms, and public areas are accessible. Four wheelchair spaces with companion seats are in the auditorium, and five listening-assist receivers are available. Contact AU Arts for interpreters, captioning, alternate formats, or other access needs.
About Greenberg Theater
American University’s Harold and Sylvia Greenberg Theatre is a 300-capacity proscenium venue on Wisconsin Avenue. It presents university theater, musical theater, dance, music, film screenings, student productions, and outside rentals with professional stage, projection, orchestra-pit, and production facilities.
