Plan your visit
The visitor entrance is under the awning on 9th Street SE, about two blocks from Eastern Market Metro. Hill Center has no public lot; metered and restricted street parking is available, with limited school-lot parking during posted evenings, weekends, and summer periods. Hours can change for events.
Accessibility
The 9th Street entrance is accessible and an elevator reaches every floor. ASL interpretation is available for programs when requested at least ten business days in advance. Contact Hill Center for seating, restroom, mobility, visual, hearing, or other access needs.
About Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital
Hill Center is a nonprofit arts, education, cultural, and civic center in Washington’s restored 1866 Old Naval Hospital. Its galleries, classrooms, kitchens, gardens, meeting rooms, and performance spaces host concerts, lectures, visual art, cooking, languages, youth programs, community gatherings, and private events.
