The Shaw–Howard University Metro station is about two blocks away. The theater has no on-site parking; the Progression Place garage is behind it and limited street parking is nearby. Check doors and show time carefully, because entry and general-admission seating are first come, first served.

The building is fully ADA accessible and has an elevator. Contact the presenter before the event for accessible seating or standing accommodation, companion access, entrance details, and other needs; configurations vary substantially between shows.

About Howard Theater

The Howard Theatre is a restored historic live-music and event venue in Washington’s Shaw neighborhood. Opened in 1910 as a major stage for Black artists and audiences, it now hosts concerts, comedy, dance parties, cultural programs, community events, and private functions in seated, standing, and banquet configurations.

Most seating is first come, first seated; incomplete parties may not be seated together.

Small purses and shoulder bags are allowed and searched; backpacks, duffels, and other large bags are prohibited.

Outside food and beverages are prohibited; current public shows do not necessarily offer food service.
