Plan your visit

Do not travel to 555 Pennsylvania Avenue expecting the Newseum; it is no longer a museum or ticketed venue. NewseumED continues online with free media-literacy and First Amendment education resources, while historical collection material can also be explored digitally.

Accessibility

The former museum’s visitor accommodations are no longer applicable because the public institution closed. For any current event at the Johns Hopkins building, use that organizer’s accessibility information. NewseumED’s continuing resources are digital rather than a replacement physical venue.

About Newseum

The Newseum was a museum of journalism, news, free expression, and the First Amendment at 555 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. That physical museum permanently closed to the public on December 31, 2019, and the building was sold for conversion into Johns Hopkins University’s Washington campus.
