About The Joyce Theater
The Joyce Theater is an active 472-seat nonprofit dance theater at 175 Eighth Avenue in Chelsea. Created by dancers from a renovated 1941 movie house and opened in 1982, it presents an approximately 45-to-48-week season of emerging and established dance companies spanning movement traditions, new choreography, family programs, talks, and international work.
