Use 21 East Main Street. Columbus Commons Main Garage at 55 East Rich Street is directly across from the theater and accepts cash and cards. Purchase through CAPA/CBUSArts, verify the event presenter, and select carefully because all sections except accessible Row S require stairs and the historic theater has no elevator.
Accessibility
Accessible seating is in Orchestra Row S, with an accessible lobby restroom. There is no elevator. Listening devices and ListenWiFi, requested audio description and ASL, complimentary wheelchairs, a quiet area, headphone zone, and free first-come KultureCity sensory bags are available.
About Southern Theatre
Southern Theatre is an active 925-seat restored jewel-box theater operated by CAPA in downtown Columbus. Opened in 1896 and reopened after restoration in 1998, it is the oldest surviving theater in central Ohio and hosts CAPA programs, Opera Columbus, Columbus Jazz Orchestra, Chamber Music Columbus, ProMusica, touring artists, comedy, and rentals.
