The Academy is at 240 South Broad Street. It seats up to 2,600 guests and has multiple levels, boxes, and some limited- or obstructed-view locations, so review the seating chart when purchasing.
Accessibility
A wheelchair-accessible entrance is on the south side of the building, with a curb cut at Broad and Locust. Stair-free wheelchair seating, assistive-listening devices, sensory kits, and service-animal access are available. Accessible restrooms are on the Canteen level by elevator; coordinated requests should be made about two weeks ahead.
About Academy of Music
Philadelphia’s Academy of Music opened in 1857 and is the oldest U.S. opera house still used for its original purpose. The National Historic Landmark hosts Broadway, ballet, opera, comedy, music, and orchestral performances.
