About Society Hill Playhouse

Society Hill Playhouse was a historic Philadelphia theater founded in 1959, but it is permanently closed. The playhouse gave its final performances and closed on April 1, 2016; the building at 507 South 8th Street was subsequently demolished and replaced by residential development.
