The Roots Cellar

Plan your visit

Use 6300 Fifth Avenue at the corner of Fifth and Shady Avenues and enter from the Shady Avenue side. A city lot and an upper campus lot are available from Shady Avenue, with additional street parking. Seating is generally general admission, and beer, wine, soft drinks, and small snacks may be sold.

Accessibility

An elevator reaches the box-office level, followed by a small lift that can accommodate a non-electric wheelchair. Email Calliope before the concert if you need the lift or accessible seating; Calliope asks for seating accommodation requests at least 48 hours before showtime.

About The Roots Cellar

The Roots Cellar is Calliope’s intimate lower-level folk-music room in the Marshall Building at Mellon Park. It presents all-ages concerts by local, national, and international roots artists as part of Calliope’s nonprofit music programming.
