The theatre is at 6 North Laurel Street on Virginia Commonwealth University's Monroe Park campus. Multiple VCU parking decks and paid lots are within walking distance; the closest listed deck is on West Main Street. Lobbies generally open one hour before events, although timing can vary.
Accessibility
The building is accessible and has public elevators serving all levels, accessible restrooms in the Main Lobby, wheelchair and companion seating, and assistive-listening devices. Sensory bags are available for checkout. ASL interpretation can be requested at least three weeks before an event.
About Altria Theater
Altria Theater is a historic Richmond venue presenting Broadway productions, concerts, comedy, family performances, lectures, and civic events. Opened in 1927 as the Mosque Theater, the restored building is known for its minarets, murals, acoustics, and large auditorium.

Bag policy
Bags may not exceed 12 by 8 by 6 inches; backpacks, boxes, laptop bags, and briefcases are prohibited. Medical and diaper bags are exceptions and may be searched.
Entry screening
Guests may undergo metal-detector, wand, and bag screening.
Re-entry
Re-entry is not permitted after leaving the venue.

The box office and concessions are cashless.
Late seating
Late seating varies by production and may be held until an appropriate break.
