The theater is at 2908 West Cary Street. Tickets are sold online and at the box office, which opens 30 minutes before shows. Street parking and a paid deck behind the theater are available; do not use neighboring businesses’ private lots or the passenger loading zone.

Accessibility

Wheelchairs can enter directly through the front doors. A level platform with companion seats is at the center rear of the auditorium, and an accessible restroom is on the west side of the lobby.

About Byrd Theatre

The Byrd Theatre is a nonprofit 1,200-seat movie palace in Richmond’s Carytown neighborhood. Opened in 1928 and preserved as a historic landmark, it screens repertory and second-run films, festivals, sensory-friendly programs, and community events, often with its Mighty Wurlitzer organ.
